About Me

Hello!
My Name is Riley Ansa. They / Them are my pronouns, and Riley's Camera & Repair is my little shop in the heart of Houston!

I opened Riley's Camera and Repair in winter of 2020
after struggling to find a job in the height of the pandemic. I had just left active duty service in the U.S Army
earlier in the same year as a 91E (Welder / Machinist).

I went to School of Automotive Machinists & Technology here in Houston, straight out of highschool.
I may never machine an engine block again, seeing as how I'm quite invested in my little camera repair shop.

But the key takeaway from that school was that
if there's a way to do something, there will always be someone doing it even more meticulously
than the manufacturer ever did.

And when you understand why a manual tells you to do something a certain way, rather than blindingly following instructions, you can fix just about anything.

This stuck with me through my time in the Army where I had a Chief Warrant Officer who prided himself and his team of soldiers in doing the job right.

I may not have the decades of experience that others in the field of camera repair has, but I hope that you can use
my services with confidence.

Your camera will receive the treatment and care that it deserves, and I will not hesitate to decline a repair if I feel that I can not do it properly.

Thank you for choosing to use Riley's Camera and Repair!

-Riley
